This report was created by an external auditor and it has been created in accordance with the ISO 14064 standards and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol principles.

Medistri is the first Contract Sterilisation Company to measure and calculate its carbon footprint. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its impact on the environment.

For the first time in the industry, by carefully tracking and analyzing its energy usage, transportation, waste and other environmental factors, Medistri's CO2 Report gives its customers exact data on the average CO2 consumption per pallet that goes through our its sterilisation process.

On the 29 of November,

Medistri has been granted its building permit for the construction of an extension and realization of new facilities. This expansion will allow Medistri SA to develop and increase its production at its headquarters in Domdidier.

The expansion includes a production building as well as storage facility with a capacity of 2000 pallets. To date Medistri sterilisation services operate with 5 lines. The last one is currently being installed. However, with the global increase in R&D in the healthcare sector, Medistri has seen a large increase in demand. In order to provide quality service to its customers, Medistri plan to add one more line but it is preparing to add 4 new lines once the site is operational. The cost for development of this new extension will amount to approximately CHF 8'000'000.

The construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2023. Thanks to this new extension, Medistri intends to increase its staff by 20% by creating additional jobs in the region over the course of the year.

This investment of around 2 million CHF will allow Medistri to continue providing efficient and reliable sterilization services to a growing client base, with an increase in capacity. The new chamber will be used primarily for the sterilization of pharmaceutical & medical devices coming from multiple countries. It will be fully operational and ready to use by the begining of 2023.
