Scope of the Statement
This certificate confirms the calculated CO₂ emissions associated with the sterilization of customer pallets processed by Medistri during the year 2025. The calculation covers:
- (1) Sterilization operations (EO/Steam, as applicable)
- (2) Energy consumption linked to sterilization processes and
- (3) Supporting internal logistics directly related to pallet processing (if applicable).
Excluded from scope: upstream manufacturing of products, external transport outside Medistri facilities, and downstream distribution.
Methodology & Reference Framework
The CO₂ calculation has been performed using:
- (1) Internal operational data (energy, process parameters, pallet volumes)
- (2) Recognized emission factors and
- (3) A calculation approach aligned with ISO 14064 principles (Greenhouse Gas Accounting) and Best practices for Scope 1 &
Scope 2 emissions.
The CO₂ emission factor per pallet is based on Medistri’s 2024 organizational carbon footprint and allocated to 2025 pallet
volumes using an average allocation methodology.
